Michal Škapa is one of the key artists connected to the Czech graffiti scene, emerging with the strong generation of writers of the early 1990s. Over time he moved through the era’s seminal crews (including DSK and CAP) and tested himself internationally—most notably through a turn-of-the-millennium New York subway action regarded as a landmark moment for the local graffiti subculture. Closely associated with Prague’s legendary Trafo/Trafačka milieu, he has collaborated with MeetFactory for 15 years and maintains a studio there. His practice spans multiple media and formats—from murals and acrylic/airbrush painting to site-specific installations and spatial or light objects—and his work has been exhibited widely in Czechia and abroad, including his 350-metre mural KOSMOS beside the Václav Havel Airport runway (2020).
